Uplifting Central New Jersey

Chain Store Age, April 30, 2015 – The Shoppes at Middletown brings specialty retail and dining to affluent eastern Monmouth County. A unique new shopping center is being designed to bring boutique and specialty retail and dining options to eastern Monmouth County in Central New Jersey. The Shoppes at Middletown, at 380,000 sq. ft., will emerge as a premier town center development when it opens in 2017. The average household income in the area is more than $130,000 a year.” Eastern Monmouth County residents currently travel to the Short Hills Mall or New York City for high-end specialty shopping, continued Orrico. Through The Shoppes at Middletown, NRDC aims to provide a local alternative. Abutting The Shoppes at Middletown will be a 350-unit housing development. The residential project will connect to the retail center with pedestrian-friendly walkways and roadways. The retail design will feature individual storefronts, each with a separate identity. Units will range from 1,000 sq. ft. up to 70,000 sq....
